Please join us for our annual Spring Arts Show and Open House. This event is open to the public so everyone can come see all the incredible art our kids are creating, visually and musically. Please be advised that some student artworks explore themes of war, racism and homophobia and may spark questions from younger students. Click here for discussion resources for caregivers and educators. The schedule is as follows:
1:15 PM - 2:40 PM - Music & Dance Performances (outside on the yard)
The playground gates will open at 1:05 and parents may enter there. However, if you arrive after 1:15 you will need to be buzzed in at the front doors.
2:40 - 3 PM - Parents can go get their students, use the restroom etc.
3 PM - Families should reconvene on the yard for a message from the Principal before the Visual Art Show begins.
3:20 - 5:30 PM - Families are free to check out the art, enjoy concessions, etc.
4:30 - 5:30 PM - Classrooms are open for visits. Remember this is a time to check out classwork, teachers are there to welcome you, but students will be leading the visits. Please respect that this is not a time for conferring about a particular student. Anyone who wants a conference need only reach out to their teacher on classtag, we are always happy to arrange a conference
Food Sales and A Community Arts Market will be available as well.
Parking restrictions will be lifted for the event on the following blocks…
-the 1500 and 1600 block of N Gardner Street
-the 7300 to 7500 block of Hawthorn Ave
-the 1600 block of Vista (directly north of the school).
*please note you still CANNOT park in red zones or on “No Parking Anytime” streets.
